Calling Nigeria home also means that Lawani has embedded herself in helping the women of her community. Mind Body Soul, an extension of Arami Essentials, dishes a mission statement centered on the root of what clean beauty is all about: “We are committed to sowing seeds of love and encouraging self-care within our community. We believe everyone deserves the right to have a sound mind, a healthy body, and a soul that is at peace.” Mind Body Soul has partnered with organizations throughout Africa, such as HelpMum, Women at Risk International Foundation, and Sanitary Aid for Nigerian Girls. Mind Body Soul's purpose is to extend a helping hand to their fellow women in Africa by providing support to the health, wealth, and safety of the community's growing girls and glowing women. Through their philanthropic collaborations, Mind Body Soul has fought for period products, clean birth kits, and medical and emotional support for African women stuck in cycles of violence—and they’ve only just begun. Arami Essentials is purely the start of Lawani’s dynamic journey of rearranging the beauty industry. She’s set a high bar for clean beauty, allowing her African community access to divine health and wellness while redefining the terms and conditions of what beauty means for everyone, and her business isn't the only one.
