hima’s path wasn't a straightforward one. With a bachelor's and master's degree in economics, she initially pursued a corporate career. "I worked a nine-to-five job at a company and used that to fund my fashion dreams," she recalls. "I made clothes for myself, and people loved them.” Soon, she was making pieces for friends and strangers. Her innate talent and the overwhelming demand for her designs propelled her to take the leap into entrepreneurship. By 2019, Mimmi Kasu had officially launched, and there has been no looking back since. For Chima, balancing creativity and business acumen is both a challenge and a triumph. When asked how she navigates this delicate balance, ensuring her designs remain authentic and innovative while also meeting the ever-evolving demands of the market, Chima indicated that it’s a complex yet fulfilling process. She mainly emphasized the importance of a clear vision, collaboration, and effective time management. "It's strenuous,” she admits, “but manageable with a clear vision and strategy. I have a supportive husband and a talented team that I rely on." Her flexibility and openness to feedback also play significant roles in her success.
