He also thinks that people think more locally post pandemic, would be more supportive of farmers and going to markets themselves. With these things in mind, restaurants have to be really good and be much better than what people can cook at home, “or they have to offer something not easily replicable in terms of technique,” says Chef Xatruch. Every guest can rest assure that they will have a happy experience, as that is the team’s ultimate goal. And for Eduard, when the trio opened Compartir and Disfrutar were his happiest moments professionally. “We were very nervous as we didn’t know if we would be successful,” he recalled. On a personally level, he felt tremendous excitement and joy when his two daughters were born. So, it seems fair that no matter where one sits on the creativity spectrum, family is always what brings us the most happiness after all.
