I knew this represented a huge opportunity for us. Most luxury designers that many people support aren’t making products with their main consumers (the minority population) in mind. Products aren’t made for us, usually– and I wanted to create something that was designed for us, by us.” After saving the last paycheck from his old job, Williams moved to Virginia with just enough money for a one-way ticket.
