14. TrooRa The Color Issue Summer '22

“Their incredible team gave me creative license to create the piece of artwork you see on the hoodie today.” This was the first time Playboy allowed someone else to create a Playboy Cover for them. The process was very collaborative, and she felt so empowered by the females on the team. Some things happening in the near future for Ashley include working on a solo pop-up show and entering her artwork in exhibitions. “I want my artwork to be in a space where people can come and be inspired, discuss uncomfortable topics, and be provoked to think differently.” Her ultimate dream is to inspire the youth and those who think they cannot pursue an artist career and journey. “There is nothing more fulfilling in life than living out communication and brings people together to share their stories when they may not have felt comfortable or listened to otherwise. Ashley has exhibited her work in numerous galleries and shows, most recently in 2019 at Miami Art Basel at the Eduardo Lira Art Gallery as a semi-finalist. Other exhibition show locations include Los Angeles, Long Beach, San Francisco, and North Carolina. In February 2020, she spoke on a panel about Colorism at the CAA your truest purpose.” She believes art can act as another form of Advancing Art & Design Annual Conference held in Chicago. She is currently the senior lead global creative designer for UST.
